FLORENCE, AL – A group of faculty researchers in the Anderson College of Nursing and Health Professions has created a video abstract for an article published recently in Nurse Educator, a highly esteemed and peer-reviewed journal.

“We are absolutely thrilled to be able to publish with Nurse Educator and be asked to create a video abstract about our study,” said Dr. Will Brewer, an ACONHP associate professor, director of the Simulation Center in Harrison Hall, and the lead on the project. “The study was part of a revolutionary program at the Anderson College of Nursing and Health Professions called Simulation Scholars. This program is aimed at increasing innovation through simulation for nurse educators.”

The video abstracts will be used on the Nurse Educator website to feature articles that are innovative or create a vast level of new knowledge to the nursing educator profession. The UNA study deals with technology barriers, according to Dr. Brewer.

“Our study on technology barriers represents an impressive sample size of more than 1,700 participants and helps add to the body of existing research,” he said. “Technology is here to stay, and it is important we understand what barriers may exist.”
